Touch a Shoulder, Touch a heart

It did not rain even though heavy clouds hung over the mountains so we were able to go out. We found a great spot up on steps so the crowd was able to get really big.
The dance that was a disaster the night before was a super success this night and everyone loved it. We do a funny skit where we pantomime cramming into a metro in slow motion, its hard to keep a straight face while doing it and everyone cracks up because the buses are so busy here you have to inhale to let someone else on. We have known a homeless man named Guillermo for a long time. He is 70 years old and blind. He plays the guitar and sings to make money. Pretty much everyone ignores him. When we perform Guillermo sing one or two songs in our crowd. In his mind he is not homeless but a great singer like Andrea Bocelli. He is a beautiful man who had an infectious laugh.
We incorporate the parable of the Good Samaritan into into of our dances and exhort the crowd to help the poor and care about others. It can be so easy to be consumed with ourselves, our lives what we want and need. But there is such joy in forgetting about ourselves and loving another. It really is like a magic formula, if you care about someone else's problems, your problems become less relevant and eventually disappear.  Touch the life of another soul and this Christmas can be the best ever.
